Thalia meeting with Mme. Anwar Sedat at the Palace.

Mme. Enayat Azmi (Dir. Ballet Institute), Mme Anwar Sedat and Thalia Mara

Thalia went to Cairo at the invitation of the Egyptian government’s Institute of Fine Arts (1981). She was there to consult and advise them on the future of their “Ballet” after Egypt had severed their association with Russia. Approx. 6 months following this meeting, Anwar Sedat was assassinated.
